On Tuesday, February 12, 2008, Barack Obama of Illinois won all three democrat Potomac primaries of Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia.

John McCain of Arizona won all three republican Potomac primaries of Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia.
